Media Release — Photos & Videos

Last updated: July 2026

Why we photograph and film

Dance is a performing art — recitals, Rangapravesams, and even a good class are worth remembering. We photograph and record classes, rehearsals, and performances to celebrate our students’ work and to show prospective families what the school is really like.

Our posture, in plain words

  • Consent is collected at registration. When you enroll, we ask whether we may use photos and videos that include your child in the school’s materials — this website, our social media pages, and printed programs.
  • Saying no is always okay — it never affects your child’s place in class, casting, or anything else. We’ll do our best to keep opted-out students out of frame and out of published materials.
  • Featured use gets its own ask. If we want to feature a student prominently — for example in an advertisement or a boosted/promoted post — we ask that family separately and get a written release first, even if general consent is already on file.
  • We don’t publish children’s full names alongside their photos without the family’s specific consent (for example, a Rangapravesam announcement the family has asked for).
  • You can change your mind. Tell us at any time and we’ll stop using new images of your child and remove existing ones from materials we control where feasible (something already printed, or shared by others, may be beyond recall — we’ll be honest about that).

Performances and public events

Recitals and public performances are, by nature, public — audience members take their own photos and videos, which are outside the school’s control. This policy covers what the school publishes, not what individual attendees capture.
